Hello!
I'm Candace, an award-winning screenwriter, journalist, and copywriter. My words have been featured on prominent platforms including The Latch, Women Love Tech, The Carousel, and CEO magazine. I write an advice column called A Little Advice for The Tawny Frogmouth magazine and I produce a monthly newsletter called A Little Digression. I am also writing my first novel.
Like all creatives, my career has been anything but linear, I have worked in over 6 different industries. But in that time, I have had the opportunity to work on some incredible brands, such as Star Wars, James Bond, and my dream project, The Hobbit. It has also made me an incrediable generalist who can take on almost anything.
In 2016, I moved to New York where I embarked on my journey as a full-time writer. My experience working in film steered me towards a Master’s degree in Screenwriting and I later landed a job working for a production company where I wrote pitches and story outlines for documentary projects. It was also here that I co-wrote a short film which went one to win multiple awards.
Since moving to Sydney in 2019, I have leveraged my skills in pitching and selling ideas, to help entrepreneurs elevate their brand and increase visibility. I do this via press releases, award or grant submissions, and leap-off-the-page bio’s. With a creative touch, I breathe authenticity into clients’ stories.
In all of the work I do, my goal is to help others feel seen and understood. I am walking the talk by sharing my own story and journey as a creative via my newsletter and Instagram. I am actively building a community where authenticity and vulnerability is valued above all else.
Candace is fabulous to work with and a great writer!

A Little Advice: The Generational Debate
Millennials and Gen Zers have grown up in the age of information, who needs life experience and wisdom when we have statistics and Instagram!? The problem is, calling someone racist because they haven’t memorised the latest research, is often just a fancy-pants way of gaslighting someone, which never results in a productive conversation.

4 Baby Monitors To Suit Your Lifestyle
Love or loathe the idea of surveillance, baby monitors are a necessity. They offer peace of mind and give you the freedom to enjoy small moments of self-care such as the all-important (but often neglected) shower or sitting in the garden with a cup of tea. Whether you’re the type of parent who needs to know every cough, wriggle or whine, or the parent that just requires the wakeup bat signal (if only), there is a monitor for you.
